The world loves to put people into boxes—it’s easier to label than to understand. But labels don’t account for growth, change, or how much your environment shapes you.
Maybe you’ve been told you’re shy and quiet. That might’ve been true when you were six, but does it define who you are now? Or maybe you were in an environment that didn’t let you express yourself fully.
When you step onto the field, that all changes. The field is your stage—a place where you can be anyone you want to be. It’s not about changing who you are but rejecting the limits others (or even you) have placed on yourself.
If you’re quiet off the field, it doesn’t mean you can’t be a vocal leader on it.
Don’t pigeonhole yourself or put yourself in a box—there will always be people ready to do it for you if you let them. The difference is, you get to decide who you are and who you want to become. Take ownership of your narrative and let your actions, not assumptions, define you.
